Anna Mary Yirga Miller, 91, of Coldwater, Ohio and formerly of Mansfield, died Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Mercer Health. Born September 9, 1918 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Andrew Edward and Mary Agnes Smilnak Yirga. An avid motorcyclist, Anna owned her own motorcycle and had been a member of the Motormaids. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, and canning.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Ann and Jim Snepp of Marblehead, and Margie Wilkinson of Butler; grandchildren, Darrell Jean Snepp of Loudonville, Christine Mark Brown of Coldwater, David Verlinda Wilkinson, and Dan Wilkinson, all of Butler; and three great-grandchildren, Courtney, Jama, and Benjamin. She was preceded in death in 1962 by her husband, Anton P. Miller; her parents; brothers, John, Andrew, and Lewis Yirga; and sisters, Rosemary Yirga, and Agnes Swetlic.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
