Dave was a great friend to me. We talked and believed in cars, any type, any model. I always tried to convince him to buy a Italian Fiat convertible. I have been out of town and didn't know he passed away. He will be missed by many. I am so sad for his family's loss.

Uncle Butch got me my first car for my high school graduation in 1988. It was a 1980 black Chevy Monza. Lots of good memories from that car and with Uncle Butch. You'll be missed.
I've known Dave & his family for a lot of years I first met Dave thru my brother Andy McBride was manager of Ontario Loan & Dave's car lot was across the side street from Ontario Loan he was a friend of my brother, Dave has always been a great friend both he & his wife Kathy. Dave will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Rest in Peace with the Lord my friend. ?
A true ONE OF A KIND. They broke the mold after they made Dave. The world couldn't handle two like him. David's currency was kindness & humor. I first met Dave in the 1980's at a national car auction where as fate would have it the cars we brought to sell were parked right next to each other. We quickly became fast friends. Two peas in a pod... We went to many of the same national car shows, drag races, & swap meets for more than 30 years. WE always made sure we parked next to each other, stayed in the same hotels, and ate at the same restaurants. We spent thousands of hours together. We bought & sold hundreds of cars from each other & to each other. David's word was his bond, when he told you something you could bank on it to be true !!! Over thirty years I never heard a lie come out of his mouth. COLOR the story a bit so it tells better maybe, but never lie. To know Dave was to know his family. His family was his life, his joy, & his healing medicine. You left a mark my FRIEND & you will be missed. Your pal Gregor
Dave was a great guy and a friend for almost 40 years. Deepest sympathy to all his family and friends. He will surely be missed by many.
I am so sorry for your loss. Dave was a wonderful guy who always made us laugh. You will be in my prayers.
Dave was an awesome man. He would literally give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He was a great man that was ever so caring and giving. He will be missed by many such a wonderful guy.
Dave was so very generous to us at the auto title department! He never failed to tell us that he appreciated us and that meant even more to me personally than the gifts that he gave us. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed! My sincere and heartfelt condolences to his wife and family.

You were a one of a kind man .. you could make anyone laugh , I will never forget going with you to car shows and the rides there and back those are times I will never forget and it was so much fun . I am so proud to call you my kids great grandfather ?? You will never be forgotten, your name will live on forever , until we meet again ?
Where do we begin? Dave meant the world to us, both as a friend and as a mentor in the car business. Classic cars were a mutual love and let us spend many good times at swap meets, car shows, auctions and in creating our new car lot. He never gave up even through the medical challenges. These challenges even gave me the opportunity to talk to him about The Lord and he made the decision to accept Him which gives us the assurance that it is not "Good Bye" but rather "See you Again". Dave was the most fun loving, outspoken and generous person you would ever meet. The mechanical knowledge he had was off the charts. He could tell by looking, smelling and listening what was wrong with your car. He also was the "Burn Out King" All you had to do to see him do a burn out was to tell him not to do one. He could side step a clutch and rip through the gears like no other. Scared me to death many times all the while he was holding his coffee cup, steering, shifting gears, working all three pedals and grinning ear to ear. To the entire Paone Family, you have our heartfelt sympathy. Dave was one of a kind and we will miss him terribly and share in your loss. We love you all!
Me and hermie will miss you so much, especially hermie, it's gonna be tough not seeing you with your coffee and your ornery self, rest easy see you later.
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss.
