Kathy, My heart goes out to you at this time. Our greatest comfort is knowing Ed is at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ. I'm so grateful that we walked the journey of ministry with youth at Hope Church in the early 80's and then y'all return as we ministered alongside at Henderson Settlement. Ed's life was an amazing one of evangelism and discipleship. So grateful for his spiritual leadership in so many communities. Blessings on you as you forge ahead in your equally compelling witness for the Lord. Tim
Rev. Dr. Scott Wilson left a message on April 6, 2021:
I am honored and humbled to call Ed and Kathy my friends. Ed was my pastor as a teenager, he led me to Christ and discipled me. As a high school senior, I traveled with the Farmers to Israel - and that pilgrimage impacts my life to this day. As a student at Asbury College, I would occasionally get to visit them at Henderson Settlement/Red Bird, where Ed gave me great counsel as I tried to discern a call to ministry. Ed was a gifted preacher with evangelism gifts. He was a mentor throughout my years of parish ministry, and remains so. I, along with all the others who have written previously, am thankful to the Holy Spirit for sending Ed across our paths.
