When I used to write to Esther I didn't know we are related., After I joined Ancestry.com, I found I had McNaull cousins in New Zealand. My Mcnaul ancestors came from County Tyrone, North Ireland. When they came to America, most of my line changed their spelling to Menaul.I have since found other cousins in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. I have now found more McNaul cousins in the USA but the Mcnaull .spelling seems to be more rare.I have a line in Australia where they took the mothers maiden name of Allen and she is now on Ancestry.com. I still have Esther's letters to me but have just moved to Colorado Springs where my great Grandmother Jane Mcnaul was 150 years ago. I feel her presence in my life. She was 4ft 9in tall and alone in her world at that time. She then met an orphan boy in Denver from Delaware, My Great Grandfather..Gordon S Roberts

Thank you to all who shared their condolences. We hate to lose our mother, but we know she is now free of pain and at peace. We will post an online celebration of life for Esther in July. The link will be posted here at the Wappner site. She was a great mother. She enjoyed the company of friends and family. We miss her very much.

She was a past member of Ashland Business and Professional Women. She attended our 80th anniversary, ten years ago. She attended our National Business Women's Week event at the Convocation Center. Three years ago, she sat with Ashland Mayor Matt Miller and his wife. She was a good conversationalist. I phoned her sometime after COVID hit the country. She seemed to be doing well at Belmont Tower. I'm glad we had time together.

Jan and Jean, Our prayers are with you. We know there is a reunion going on in Heaven. Your mom was so special to us. Her knowledge of family history and so many other historical events was amazing! We enjoyed listening to her do the Cremation of Sam McGee a few weeks ago! She picked up right where Grandma McNaull left off. We have special memories of time spent with Aunt Esther that include family gatherings, your lake house, visiting in Pittsburgh and family celebrations after she moved back to Ashland! All treasured memories! We will miss her but rejoice that she is no longer in pain and is with her Savior and family in Heaven.

Rest in peace, Mom. We are glad you finally escaped the great pain you were in. The graveside service will be by Pastor Jeff and is limited to family with Covid-precautions. Pastor Jeff will also be mentioning Mom in a regular service at Dickey Brethren. Many thanks again to all the caring people at Brethren Care Village and Pathways Hospice who helped so much.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Jeanne and Janet, So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was always a gracious hostess when I came to your house to play, even sometimes fixing mac and cheese or other goodies so we could have a picnic outside. Good memories.
