My Condolences to Greg's entire family. I worked daily with Greg at the Lee County Sheriff's Office in Florida. I will miss our coffee in the morning together and our lunches together. Besides all of the great law enforcement service and accomplishments he was a part of, Greg was a genuinely good person. He was helpful, caring and had a great sense of humor. His parents raised a good person, and it showed.
He talked about his family, and many times was talking to his granddaughter, Giselle, on the phone while at work. I know he cared for her deeply.
Although we can't be up there for the services, I and others here will be thinking about Greg today. We will miss him here, as he was an important co-worker and good friend.
My condolences to the Kanz family. We grew up as neighbors and friends. May God comfort you during this difficult time.
Gayle, sorry to hear about your brother. Your family is in our prayers.
My sincere sympathy to all the Kanz family and friends. I will always remember the good times growing up Gayle, Greg, Kim & Judy. Thoughts and prayers for all during this difficult time.
Gayle & Sue: So very sorry for your loss. No matter what the circumstance......losing a child seems so "out-of-order". May you be blessed with many wonderful memories to sustain and comfort you at this very sorrowful time. With Deepest Sympathy, Ron & Rita Odson
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
To the Greg Kanz family,
Please accept the sincere sympathies for your loss of Greg, from all the police officers who belong to the Central Ohio Retired Police Officers Association, Greg's brother, Gayle, being one of those members.
We pray that our Lord and Savior will comfort each of you and give you rest in His loving arms as you struggle through the sad days ahead.
I know and worked with Gayle on the Columbus Police Dept. and I know that he is so sad at this news of the loss of his brother, Greg. Judging from the comments from condolence writers, Greg was a good man like his brother. We are sad to lose another police officer.
The Lord bless each of you!
Rodger Hamilton--Chaplain for the Central Ohio Retired Police Officers Association

Dear Mr. Kanz and the Kanz Family,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Greg.
Mr. Kanz, you were the adult leader of our crew that went to the Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in New Mexico in 1975. And, Greg and I were thankful that you were there with us as you were a reasonable, patient gentleman. Since that time I have not had contact with Greg however, I remember him with good thoughts and great memories of that adventure.
Please know that you are in my thoughts.
Kindest personal regards.
