Helen M. Hock, 91, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at MedCentral Mansfield. Born May 8, 1918, in Perry Township, Morrow County, Ohio, she was the daughter of Clyde and Martha A. Craven Myers. A 1935 graduate of Mansfield Senior High, Mrs. Hock was a 45 year member of Diamond Hills Baptist Church where she was very involved with many church activities. Along with her husband, Frank, she owned and operated Ohio Janitor Supply. She enjoyed bridge club, traveling the United States and Canada and fishing, but most important to her was spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Frank Hock; a son, Larry Merrillie Hock of Durango, CO; grandsons, Christopher Hock of Wadsworth and Jonathon Hock of Mansfield; a great great granddaughter, Madelyn Hock; and numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roger Hock; and a brother, David Thompson.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Diamond Hills Baptist Church, 647 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, conducted by Rev. Christopher Thomas and longtime friend, Pastor Donald Holtzapple. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice or the Mission Fund of Diamond Hills Baptist Church.
