Robert C. “Bob” Levingston, 85, of Lexington, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at Lexington Court Care Center. Born July 10, 1933 in Bellville, Ohio, he was the son of Samuel Jefferson and Helen Mary (Hoeflich) Levingston.
Bob was a 1953 graduate of Bellville High School and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He worked for many years at Ohio Brass and then he worked for Universal Enterprises retiring in 1997. He coached Little League baseball for several years and enjoyed auctions, garage sales and hunting rabbit and deer. Bob also enjoyed going to the Kentucky Derby and was a member of the American Legion Post 535 in Bellville. Family was important to Bob and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by a daughter, Stacy (Mark Lustritz) Phillips; a son, Chad (Patty) Levingston; grandchildren, Joshua (Lindsay) Levingston, Jeffery (Alyssa Erich) Phillips and Sarah (Kaleb) Reed; great grandchildren, Adia Levingston, Jocelyn Phillips, Jermiah Phillips, Connor Reed and Charlie Reed; two step great grandchildren, Carter and Max; two brothers, Jim Levingston and Paul Levingston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Levingston; a son, Jeffery Levingston; three brothers, Lewis Levingston, William Levingston and Frederick Levingston; and a sister, Gladys Buckley.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Lexington Court Care Center for their wonderful care of Bob.
There will be no services at this time. Burial will be in Four Corner Cemetery at a later date.
