Scott R. Ringler, 52, of Sullivan, died unexpectedly Friday, July 2, 2010 at his home. Born April 22, 1958 in New London, he was the son of John J. and Virginia Scott Ringler. Scott graduated from Black River High School in 1976. He worked with his father in the family business “Sullivan Tin Shop”. After the death of his father, Scott took over the business in 1982. An avid golfer, he also loved his flowers. Scott enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a special love for his cats who were his “three little buddies”. Scott enjoyed riding his four wheeler. Scott will be missed by his family, who loved him dearly, and his many loyal and devoted customers.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Ringler Russell of Sullivan; son, Brock Ringler of Ashland; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Jim Fishbaugh of Norwalk; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Debra Ringler of Sullivan; three nephews, Dr. Adam Ringler of Miami, Florida, Jacob Ringler of Sullivan, and Andrew Ringler of Miami, Florida; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death in 1982 by his father, John J. Ringler; paternal grandparents, John N. and Mary Erma Arndt Ringler; and maternal grandparents, Samuel and Margaret Brown Scott.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Ave., Ashland.
